The Orb will continue their 30th anniversary celebrations with a UK tour during March and April next year.
The band’s 30th year has already been observed with ORBFEST at the London Roundhouse, a UK tour last October and a new album entitled No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds, and the next leg has now been confirmed to start in Leeds on March 8th 2019.
The Orb invited a plethora of guest musicians and vocalists to join them on No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds, widening the focus from the partnership of Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann.
“I wanted to try something with more musicians and more voices,” Paterson explained. “More contributors essentially – similar to the conditions our first album ‘Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld’ were recorded in.”
“Thomas and I made two streamlined, techno-style albums for Kompakt which I love, but this time I wanted a change to expand the palate, and to bring in other elements that will keep people guessing and keep them confused.”
