New music from The New Pornographers and Searows brought some of the favourite tracks on Live4ever’s radar this week – check them out right here.
The New Pornographers will release their tenth studio album The Former Site Of via Merge Records on March 27th, their first since 2023’s Continue As A Guest.
“Having time in my studio really opened things up,” Carl Newman has said.

Alec Duckart has picked In Violet as the final preview of his new Searows record Death In The Business Of Whaling following a run of singles which has included Dearly Missed and Dirt.
“In my head, this song is visually a very dramatic tale that is not nearly as mundane as the feelings I wrote it about,” he’s said.

Jessie Ware has returned with the new single I Could Get Used To This which is described as, ‘the opening statement of a new era’.
“I Could Get Used To This is an invitation into the world of this album,” Ware said.

Turnstile‘s Brendan Yates features on a new version of Spelling‘s track Portrait Of My Heart which originally appeared on last year’s album of the same name.
“I was really happy to discover that Brendan was into Spelling when I saw him speaking about The Turning Wheel being his album of the year on NPR’s ‘faves on faves’,” Chrystia Cabral aka has said.
With his new TVAM album Ruins due to be released on February 27th via Invada Records, Joseph Oxley has premiered the video for its latest single Powder Blue.
“The song is all about obsession and attraction,” he’s said.

“I’ve always wanted to make work that’s a reflection of my life experience,” James Petralli has said upon the unveiling of White Denim‘s new album 13.
Scritti Politti, The Gap Band, John Cale and Steve Winwood are just some of the inspirations cited, while lead single (God Created) Lock And Key is described by Petralli as a, ‘Beefheart / Sun Ra sort of thing’.
