‘Muswell Hillbillies‘ will become the latest Kinks album to get a special reissue when it is unveiled in a new expanded form later this year.
The announcement follows a spate of re-releases from the classic British band’s back catalogue, which included ‘Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)’, ‘Face To Face’ and ‘Something Else‘ all being repackaged for last year’s Record Store Day.
The 2-CD deluxe version of the 1971 LP features five previously unreleased tracks, such as ‘Lavender Lane’ and early demo ‘Nobody’s Fool’. The familiar tracklist, meanwhile, has been fully remastered from the original tapes by Kinks archivist Andrew Sandoval.
