Dave Keuning will become the last of the original Killers members to launch a solo career when he releases his debut album Prismism on January 25th.
While frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vannucci have long since spread their wings, and bassist Mark Stoermer was the first to fledge the nest altogether, it’s taken until now for Keuning to venture out alone, his solo career launched with the single Restless Legs and details of UK gigs at Night And Day in Manchester on December 9th and Dingwalls in London the day after. “The lyrics speak for themselves,” he says of the single.
“’Got restless legs/And a restless heart,’ that’s just what came pouring out of me. It was all I could think of… No other subjects came to mind. It was all I had. The beauty of the words is they’re open-ended enough that you can relate them to your own situation.”
The album is to comprise 14 tracks with Keuning responsible for the vast majority of the instrumentation.
