The Fernweh’s debut album was originally released in 2018.
The Fernweh have today released the details of their new single The Wounds Of Love, which is out now on Winterlude Records.
Following that self-titled debut long player, and the double A-side of 2019, this track takes its lead from John Carpenter and Wendy Carlos, and lyrically has Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant in mind.
“The song is coloured by contrasting shades of fear, division, fury, injustice, walls, borders, kindness, redemption and forgiveness,” Ned Crowther elaborates.
“Wilde’s story is, in the same way, a forbidding yet redemptive parable for children, which resonates now more than ever in today’s turbulent world.”
Live4ever was one of those enthusing about the first Fernweh record, contending that on it the band had, ‘drunk deep from a well of unconditioned history’.
