The album was a UK number one for The Darkness in 2003.
The Darkness will begin the 20th anniversary celebrations for their debut album Permission To Land with a European tour during November, while more dates around the world are promised soon.
“When Permission to Land landed, twenty short years ago, we were bathed in shock and awe,” Justin Hawkins has said. “As if by magic, Rock wasn’t dead! Fun wasn’t banned! And Spandex was almost acceptable again.”
Well, guess what? Twenty years on, the same rules apply. So please to squeeze yourselves into those inappropriate leggings, back-comb your mullet, splash on a big handful of attitude, and come celebrate with us! We promise everything and we deliver, every time. Bring on the next twenty!
The tour is booked to open in Berlin on November 7th and will continue on through Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, France and the Netherlands that month.
