The Chemical Brothers have entered at number one on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart with Free Yourself.
It’s the track which immediately preceded the announcement of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons’ new album No Geography, and is leading more Top 10 tunes from the Arctic Monkeys, Public Service Broadcasting and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Reflecting the surge in popularity of the traditional format, dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company in 2016 with the singles chart compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
