Tame Impala, Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino have been revealed as the headliners for this year’s Coachella Festival.
According to reports, Grande got a late promotion up the bill after Kanye West pulled out due to apparent issues with his stage production, while Tame Impala will be headlining both Saturdays of the event with Kevin Parker promising on social media that 2019 is to bring ‘new shows’ and ‘new sounds’ for the band.
Fresh from the the success of This Is America, one of last year’s best and most-talked about tracks, Childish Gambino, the musical persona of Donald Glover, completes the trio.
More notable names on the line-up include Janelle Monáe, Aphex Twin, The 1975, Chvrches, Christine & The Queens, Blood Orange, Jon Hopkins, Charlotte Gainsboug and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Coachella is back at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California between April 12th-14th and the following weekend between April 19th-21st.
