She Drew The Gun have picked up the 2017 GIT Award after releasing their debut album Memories of Another Future last year.
The band have been honoured by the prize which aims to annually highlight the best in Liverpool music, and were chosen ahead of stiff competition from The Coral and The Vryll Society to name but two.
“She Drew The Gun are fitting, and hugely popular winners,” award founder Peter Guy remarked. “They’ve sold out shows for Liverpool Music Week, toured the country relentlessly – and all the while remaining steadfastly supportive of the Merseyside music community,”
“I’m delighted for Louisa and the band as they’re genuinely top, top people and a great band with so much more to offer.”
It’s another notable triumph for She Drew The Gun after they first gained notoriety upon winning the 2016 Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition.
