Placebo by Scarlet Page
Placebo have re-recorded their 1995 debut single.
Placebo have shared the first taste of their reworked self-titled debut album whose release on June 19th is set to be a part of the band’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
The updated version of Bruise Pristine is a part of Placebo RE:CREATED along with two additional bonus tracks, while its release will be followed with an anniversary tour of Europe during the autumn.
“We think of this record as a director’s cut,” they’ve said. “We haven’t recreated it from scratch. We went back to the original master tapes and brought 30 years of playing these songs live back into the record.”
This project was about finally finishing the record, dragging it into the 21st century sonically, while preserving the integrity and the spirit of the original. It’s not about improving it, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s about completing it.
