Musicians, managers and media personalities have signed up for a new initiative from Pirate Studios which will offer potentially career defining opportunities to three emerging artists.
A trio of competition winners will be picked by a panel of judges which includes Kate Nash, John Doran and Elspeth Pierce from those who enter the Pirate Prodigy Programme to receive masterclasses, access to Pirate Studio facilities, places on festival bills and mentoring from various musical industry professionals which should give them an unrivalled start to their musical lives.
“We have 25,000+ musicians in our community, a lot are producing amazing music,” David Borrie, co-founder of Pirate Studios, remarks.
“We find it incredible some of these guys aren’t already household names so we thought it would be awesome if we could be the ones to give them a helping hand.”
“Pirate Studios is amazing for emerging artists across the world,” Kate Nash adds. “The Pirate Prodigies programme offers a great opportunity, I’m looking forward to hearing the talent that comes through.”
