The Flaming Lips, English Teacher, Cate Le Bon join Nick Cave at Preston Park

The full line-up is revealed for Nick Cave’s Brighton gig.

The Flaming Lips, English Teacher, Cate Le Bon and Warmduscher will all be joining Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds at Preston Park on July 31st.

Cave has previously said he’s, ‘thrilled beyond words to return to my beloved Brighton’, for what will be the Bad Seeds’ only UK gig of 2026 with the band set to perform tracks from their most recent studio album Wild God.

“Perhaps more remarkably, Cave has in his later years become renowned for thoughtful and articulate dialogue with the world via the Red Hand Files, whilst The Bad Seeds are now legitimately an arena sized act after decades of shape shifting,” Live4ever’s review reads.

Divine intervention or not, Wild God is the first Seeds album since Ghosteen (Cave has continued to write, direct and released Carnage with Warren Ellis in 2021), features Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood contributing bass parts and is, in the singer’s words, ‘a more extrovert, band forward record’, than its predecessor, which was largely a Cave-Ellis affair.
