New Order and The Staves are the first names confirmed for a week-long series of BBC 6Music live sessions next month.
Between October 5th-9th, five acts will be invited to perform at Maida Vale for the digital radio station as New Order intend to air new material from their upcoming ‘Music Complete‘ record.
“I’m really excited about the brilliant line-up for this year’s 6 Music Live, as well as the prospect of reliving so many of my favourite sessions and performances from across the past year,” host Lauren Laverne remarks.
‘Music Complete’ is released on September 25th via CD, download and limited edition clear vinyl formats. It was produced by the band with the help of Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers on the tracks ‘Singularity’ and ‘Unlearn This Hatred‘, and contains guest appearances from Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, Iggy Pop and Elly Jackson (La Roux).
