A new film which will tell the story of Pulp‘s, to-date, last live show in Sheffield last year has been announced by Screen Yorkshire.
The organisation will fund the documentary which currently has the working title Pulp & Sheffield and is described as a ‘day-in-the-life film’ looking at the closing gig of Pulp’s 2011-2012 reunion which took place at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on December 8th last year.
“Music has been a big part of my life and we are delighted to be able to support this exciting project,” British Film Company founder Steve Milne remarks.
“It’s the second feature documentary the new company has backed after BAFTA-nominated McCullin and the second music project after Stuart Murdoch’s God Help The Girl, which is currently in post production.”
Pulp’s future is now unclear after the December show, with Jarvis Cocker recently confirming they have no further plans for this year whilst speaking to NME at the Doc/Fest event in Sheffield.
