Ne-Yo and Akon‘s joint world tour and more farewell gigs for Saint Etienne brought some of Live4ever’s trending music news last week.
Ne-Yo and Akon will embark on a co-headline world tour a little later this year visiting 57 cities across the UK, Europe and North America along the way.
The Nights Like This tour is booked to open on Friday, April 24th at Dublin’s 3Arena, and will move on from there to UK arena gigs in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
The North American leg is due to take place during the summer and includes a New York appearance on the first day of August.
Rebellion Festival will return to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool between August 6th-9th this year with the likes of Stiff Little Fingers, Sham 69 and The Stranglers on the line-up for its 30th anniversary.
“We’ve tried to include as many bands as possible who’ve really become part of the fabric and family of Rebellion,” Russell-Smith stated.
“Stiff Little Fingers, Cock Sparrer, Sham 69, The Stranglers, The Bar Stool Preachers, Die Toten Hosen, UK Subs, Cockney Rejects, Slaughter and the Dogs etc, too many to mention them all but they know who they are.”
Wolf Alice have added a gig at Finsbury Park in London to their summer plans and will play their biggest headline show to-date on Sunday, July 5th.
A general sale of tickets will begin on Friday for the concert that’s now set to open a month for the band which also takes in various European festival appearances at events such as Mad Cool, NOS Alive, Tramlines and Rock Werchter.
Wolf Alice are also booked at the Royal Albert Hall in March for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust concert series.

Saint Etienne have added three more shows to their farewell tour of the UK and Ireland which will take place during September.
The band will now open the tour in Poole on September 10th and move on to Birmingham Institute on the 12th after playing London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
The tour is following the release of the band’s last studio album International back in September 2025 – awarded a 4* review from Live4ever.
Olivia Dean, Spiritualized and The K’s have joined the line-up for next month’s BRITs Week concert series in aid of War Child.
Dean has been announced for the Albert Hall in Manchester on February 26th, while Spiritualized are at EartH on the 18th of that month and The K’s at Manchester Gorilla on the 20th.
They add to the previously confirmed Fatboy Slim, Myles Smith and Lambrini Girls, as do the likes of Bimini, Max Jones, Olive F, Gabriella Cilmi and Saint Raymond who will be among the support acts.
Lorde, Wet Leg and CMAT have joined the line-up for this year’s Rock en Seine festival which will be held between August 26th-30th.
AFI, Wilco and Dry Cleaning are among the other new names and add to the previously announced headliners Tyler The Creator, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and The Cure.
Fresh off the Ultrasound world tour which ended 2025, Lorde has another busy year ahead and is due to play gigs in Australia and New Zealand next month.
