Mumford & Sons have been confirmed as one of the live performers when the BBC Music Awards returns for a second year in December.
Also on the live bill are perennial Radio 1 clobbers One Direction, Ellie Goulding and Little Mix, while the BBC’s irritants-in-chief Fearne Cotton and Chris Evans are due back as hosts. It’ll be held at Birmingham’s Genting Arena.
“We had such a blast last year so I can’t wait to get back on stage and relive this amazing musical year of 2015,” Evans says.
The first BBC Music Awards ceremony was held last year, when the corporation gave itself a big hearty slap on the back at Earls Court in London. Among the winners were Catfish & The Bottlemen, who picked the BBC Introducing prize.
The latest event will be aired live on Radio 1, Radio 2 and via television on BBC One. Nominees have not yet been revealed.
