Madonna by Rafael Pavarotti
Pop icon Madonna returns with her first album since 2019.
Madonna will release her new album Confessions II on July 3rd, introduced as a companion piece to the 2005 record Confessions On A Dance Floor.
Quoting one of the songs, she’s said, ‘People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong. The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language’, and added:
When Stuart Price and I first started working on this record, this was our manifesto: We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies. These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years — they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect.
