“Cattle & Cane are a real family affair, with several members of the prodigious Hammill brood involved – Joe Hammill provides guitar and lead vocals alongside his sister Helen who adds an extra layer of lead vocals and keys. Fran Hammill brings powerful dynamicism on electric guitar and backing vocals whilst Paul Wilson and Vinny Hammill constitute the backline with drums and bass guitar. The group’s second release, a four-track EP, will be released digitally on Sunday 16th October 2011. The record includes ‘Waiting’, ‘The Poacher’, ‘We Were Children [Live]’ and ‘Sail Home [Live]’. It promises to showcase Cattle & Cane at their most powerful, pure and poignant.”

“This past Monday saw the release of the new single from Memphis’ Acid Glasses in the form of ‘My Pale Garden’ on Stroll On Records. It’s sibling track, ‘JPEG Horder’, has now been given the video treatment by freak-in-residence Ouija Allin aka Nick Burk. Reimagining Jim Morrison’s iconic peyote trip through a lens made kaleidoscopic by archive documentary and talk show footage, ‘JPEG Horder’ proves a welcome addition to the Acid Glasses ever-growing video canon. Using the tracks repetitive guitar lines to hypnotise alongside a mixture of bright, hallucinogenic colours and blended montages, it harnesses the mind-altering pop genius of Burk’s work in it’s softest, arguably most welcoming, way yet.”
