New music from Lifeguard and Highdrive brought some of the favourite tracks on Live4ever’s radar this week.
Lifeguard will release an 11-track, 13-minute maxi single next year entitled Ultra Violence / Appetite, led off with the twin title-tracks which are streaming online now.
“Recorded in Lifeguard’s Stulogulo, newly equipped with actually terrifying faces and friendly heroine carpet, plugged straight into the 8-track machine with the aid of the Dub soldiers, dirty mixing pots and Echoplexes, Lifeguard deliver these 11 tracks in under 15 minutes,” the band have said.

Brighton five-piece Highdrive have signed to Venn Records and released their new single Cherry, ‘about sitting with anger, but also about the desire to push back against apathy in whatever way you can’:
“The song came from a time where it felt (and still feels) like the people with the power and resources to make real change were looking the other way.”

Set to be his first for XL Recordings, Danny L Harle has described his new album Cerulean as, ‘my debut…it really is the big one’.
The likes of Caroline Polachek, Clairo, Julia Michaels and PinkPantheress have contributed to the LP, while Oklou and MNEK are on its lead single Crystallise My Tears.

Deer Tick have got a universal message running through their otherwise festive-themed track Light Up Reindeer.
“Light Up Reindeer is about the interior conversation you have with yourself when you’re trying to talk yourself away from your darkest thoughts,” Ian O‘Neil has explained.
Ms Banks has confirmed the details of her debut album SOUTH LDN LOVER GIRL and marked the news with the release of the official video for its lead single ‘4C’.
“You never really see the words South London and lover girl put together, unfortunately us girls from South have a bad rep,” she’s responded.

Anna Of The North has confirmed the details of her new album Girl In A Bottle and shared its next single No One Knows You Better.
Recorded with producers Starsmith and Sebastian Furrer, the album is set to be released in two parts and will be previewed during a run of North American tour dates starting this week in Washington D.C..
