Future Utopia share a first track from their follow-up to 2024’s ‘Django’s High’.

Fraser T Smith has returned to Future Utopia for the release of a new single entitled Spiritual Machines which is earmarked for the project’s next studio record later this year.

It looks at the ‘automated’ nature of current society, where, ‘under the digital veil of social media, humanity is struggling to balance our true consciousness versus technology and AI’:

Remembering that music is a craft, a lifelong pursuit and that going the long way round is the most rewarding way to create is essential in an age where we can now make whole tracks with the touch of a button.

Future Utopia were a part of Live4ever’s Best Of retrospective series back in 2022 when Queen L was named one of our top tracks of that year:

Under the guise of Future Utopia, producer Fraser T Smith released Queen L; a snapping, bristling piece of house music which would sit comfortably on a Defected collection, while Soul Glo went back to the late 1980s with Jump! (Or Get Jumped!) ((by the future)), albeit fusing hardcore and hair metal breathlessly and almost inaudibly.
