Frankie & The Heartstrings have shared their Record Store Day 2016 cover ‘Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)‘.
“I’ve seen first-hand what effect this track has over people,” says Frankie Francis. “I regularly DJ, and there aren’t many tracks you can play and immediately know beforehand that everyone in the room will move to it, but this certainly is one.”
“At the same time though, not many people will know the title of this song or who sang it. And that’s the power songs like Do I Love You has, it doesn’t matter what genre you champion, or what usually makes you dance, tracks like this are timeless moments of joy.”
The single is out as a double A-side tomorrow (April 16th) with another cover – Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons’ ‘The Night‘ – available digitally and as a limited edition 7” only available from the band’s Sunderland-based Pop Recs on Record Store Day.
Released in 1965, ‘Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)’ is Frank Wilson‘s only single release on the Motown label. The true classic was a particularly rare record to come by until the digital age.
