New music from Florence And The Machine and big concert news for Kasabian brought some of Live4ever’s biggest headlines last week.
Florence And The Machine has unveiled the second single from her upcoming album Everybody Scream ahead of its release on October 31st.
“I don’t really know how to explain myself with this one,” Florence Welch has of One Of The Greats.
“It was sort of a long poem about the cost of greatness. Who gets to decide what that is? Why do I even want it? Why am I never satisfied?”
Pet Shop Boys‘ remixes of tracks by Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller and Primal Scream will feature on the duo’s Disco 5 collection when it’s released on November 21st.
Mixes of various kinds are on there, including Sleaford Mods’ take on West End Girls and the collaboration with Olly Alexander on Dreamland.
Black and orange vinyl and CD formats will be available as physical formats along side a digital release.
Portugal The Man have shared two new singles – Tanana and Mush – to accompany the announcement of their new album Shish.
It’s been set for release on November 7th, the European touring due to follow next year with UK gigs confirmed in Glasgow, Manchester and London.
“Mush is survival, connection and ambition,” John Baldwin Gourley has said.

Kasabian will play London’s Finsbury Park on July 4th next year with chief support coming from Razorlight and Miles Kane.
The announcement has arrived with a brand new single from the band entitled Hippie Sunshine, produced and written by Serge Pizzorno.
“The track is about the restless energy of hyper individuals who struggle to slow down and face reality,” he’s explained.
The Lottery Winners will play their biggest ever UK show next year close to home at the Leigh Sports Village Stadium.

Iron Maiden have announced a concert at Knebworth Park for next year with support coming from The Darkness and The Hu among others.
A big UK show was promised when the latest leg of Iron Maiden’s Run For Your Lives tour was confirmed recently, and they’ve duly delivered with the gig slotting in on Saturday, July 11th.
“We are all loving this tour,” Steve Harris has said.
