Estrons have posted a video for their Lilac single.
Premiered last month, it’s the first taste of the band’s sessions with producer Alex Newport and is dedicated by singer Tali Källström to, ‘an encounter I had with a teenage girl in the early hours of the morning’. “I drove past her crying in the street with her shoes in her hand and so I decided to turn the car around to check on her,” she explained.
“I’d assumed that she was crying about something superficial and I’d also assumed that the man walking a few feet behind her was trying to take advantage. Turns out the man actually lived on that street and the girl was heartbroken because her dad had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer.”
Estrons play Tramlines Fringe on the 21st of July with more festival appearances at Y Not and Leopalooza booked this month. “The Lilac video is a short and honest representation of how it feels in those dark moments at the end of a stressful night out,” Källström has said of the promo.
“The protagonist fleets between anger and laughter whilst spinning in a vortex of her own mad moment. It’s a simple insight into the human psyche when things aren’t going too well.”
