Enigmatic former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson will release his autobiography Looking Back On Me next month.
The memoir will be available from May 30th, and has been written and collated in conjunction with acclaimed music writer Zoë Howe.
The book will document Johnson’s eventful life, from his upbringing in Essex to Indian trips during his hippy phase and the legendary times with Dr Feelgood and Ian Dury and The Blockheads. Johnson will also look at his current band which features Norman Watt-Roy (bass) and Dylan Howe (drums).
The autobiography features many previously unseen images of Wilko Johnson from throughout his life, as well as a host of contributions from the likes of Robert Plant, Alison Moyet, JJ Burnel, Keith Levene, Gavin Martin and ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris. The book also features a foreword by Mick Farren.
Wilko Johnson is currently out on the road in the UK, and will continue the tour at the Huddersfield Lawrence Batley Theatre tonight (April 18th).
