The Charlie Watts compilation will be released on June 30th.
Select picks from the jazz recordings of Charlie Watts from the mid-eighties through to the early 2000s have been collected on to a new 4LP/2CD album simply titled Anthology.
Along side three previously unreleased tracks, highlights can be found from Watts’ various guises through 1986’s Live At Fulham Town Hall; the 1991 mini-album From One Charlie; the albums A Tribute to Charlie Parker With Strings (1992), Warm And Tender (1993) and Long Ago And Far Away (1996); the 2000 collaboration Charlie Watts – Jim Keltner Project and finally 2004’s Watts At Scott’s live record, all introduced via liner notes from journalist and broadcaster Paul Sexton.
