Cage The Elephant have shared a video for Cold Cold Cold just in time for the start of their UK and Ireland tour next week.
Of the appropriately titled track given the weather currently afflicting UK shores, frontman Matthew Shultz remarks: “I think we’re all very prone to subscribe to a safe, surface level pursuit of happiness, keeping our adversities out of sight out of mind, in a way.”
“We try to fix ourselves to fit into the social norm, and it is so easy to forget that in one way or another, the broken hearted are the beautiful ones.”
Find the track on Cage The Elephant’s most recent album Tell Me I’m Pretty – of which Live4ever said:
“Bubbling up with a bluesy psychedelic jangle, ‘Cry Baby’ opens the album with tumbling drums and a swirling vocal melody sung by Matthew Shultz. A fat bass walk down troughs the listener into a swampy sedated outro, before the fuzzy spunk of ‘Mess Around’ snaps you out of the humid haze.”
