Blossoms will be joined by The Lathums and Zuzu.
Blossoms have been announced as the headliners of a gig at Sefton Park in Liverpool which will act as one of the pilots which are being arranged to test the return of crowds to live events in the UK.
The Sefton Park Pilot is to take place on May 2nd as part of the national Events Research Programme (ERP); should they provide a negative COVID test 24 hours before, those attending will be able to do so without the need for masks or social distancing.
“Live music is a must have in my life, and a year without it is a year too long,” Festival Republic director Melvin Benn has said.
“The Sefton Park Pilot is the most important event in the Event Research Programme for getting festivals back this year and I’m delighted to play my part.”
“It’s not about vaccines, it’s not about passports, it’s not about limiting it to a section of society only: it’s about a universal approach to our love of live music for all and demonstrating we can do it safely.”
