The new look Bloc Party will officially arrive on January 29th with the release of ‘Hymns‘, and another track from the album has been shared to get fans in the mood. Check out ‘Virtue‘ below.
‘Hymns’ will be the fifth studio from Bloc Party but the first since bassist Justin Harris and drummer Louise Bartle replaced Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong – changes which frontman Kele Okereke has previously said were sorely needed.
“At the start of 2013, when we were touring Four, I had kinda had enough of this vibe,” he told news.com.au. “I felt like if things didn’t change it was the point for me to step away and do something else with my life. But things did change, I feel better for it.”
“Obviously everyone is aware of the line-up situation, this stuff is just coming to light now but we dealt with this two years ago. We had our fights and our conversations two years ago.”
Meanwhile, Bloc Party have just been confirmed for the 2016 South By Southwest Festival and will be in Austin with the likes of Mercury Rev, White Lung, The Big Pink and The Dandy Warhols.
