Tickets for the new Alvvays gigs go on sale from December 9th.
Alvvays have announced a run of European tour dates for the spring of 2023.
They’ll include UK stops at the O2 Forum in London, and at Dot To Dot in Bristol and Nottingham before some more headline concerts in Manchester and Glasgow.
The band are touring their 2022 LP Blue Rev – just recently named as one of Live4ever’s very best of the year.
“Keeping eventual singles — the burst of swirling melancholy that is album opener Pharmacist, the provocative Very Online Guy and the stunningly accomplished Belinda Says — under wraps for now, they opted to premier After The Earthquake and Many Mirrors for their audiences,” our review reads.
“The former was a fitting choice, serving as a kind of microcosm of the album they would end up making. Initially sounding like something off either of their first two albums, with that warm indie-pop sound conjured by interwoven guitar arpeggios clearly referencing Smiths-era Johnny Marr, the tempo becomes breathless and the musical backing grows denser until the mix threatens to become overwhelmed by it all.”
