Father John Misty brought his 2015 album ‘I Love You, Honeybear‘ to Later…With Jools Holland last night (May 12th), performing one of the (many) stand-outs ‘Chateau Lobby #4’.

The former Fleet Foxes man has seen his latest LP deliver a fair amount of success since its release through Sub Pop back in February, and there’ll be more of it on Later… when an extended edition of the programme is aired on the BBC this Friday.
“The listeners’ emotional involvement with the music thus draws attention to the story, and amplifies the impact of the lyrics,” our album review states.
“Ironically, it is exactly this over-emotional sugar-coating that he is criticising. The following lines say it all: “My brain’s so awfully glad to be here for yet another mindless day, Now I’ve got all morning to obsessively accrue, A small nation of meaningful objects they’ve gotta represent me too”.”
