Deap Vally covered Jake Bugg‘s 2012 single ‘Lightning Bolt‘ – one of the highlights of the Nottingham songwriter’s self-titled debut solo album – during a recent visit to BBC Radio. The Live Lounge session video can be viewed below.
Deap Vally were performing for Radio 1 as they continue a UK tour which began at the Queens Social in Sheffield last Saturday (February 23rd). Since then, the duo have appeared at the Birmingham Rainbow, and are due to arrive in London for a show at Dingwalls tonight (February 26th).
After a stop in Scotland at Glasgow’s King Tuts, the final show of the tour is booked for March 7th, with Liverpool’s Shipping Forecast the venue.
Deap Vally released the single ‘Lies‘ yesterday on 7″ and digital download formats, backed with the b-side ‘EZ‘.
