Lana Del Rey is wasting no time on an eighth studio record.
Just a matter of days after the release of Chemtrails Over The Country Club, Lana Del Rey is apparently already pressing ahead with its follow-up.
In a widely quoted Instagram story, Del Rey is reported to have responded to more negative commentary by setting her next record Rock Candy Sweet for release on June 1st.
“Just want to thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse,” she wrote, referencing the Harper’s Bazaar article Lana Del Rey Can’t Qualify Her Way Out Of Being Held Accountable.
“I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record on June 1 titled ‘Rock Candy Sweet’.”
