Creation Day had been due to take place between May 29th-30th.
The inaugural Creation Day festival, earmarked for West Park in Wolverhampton, has been rescheduled to 2022.
Alan McGee has curated the new event, Editors, Echo & The Bunnymen and a double appearance from Shaun Ryder with the Happy Mondays and Black Grape some of his top picks.
As a statement from organisers confirms, most of those artists are expected to still take part, but it’ll be another year before the festival can launch.
“As everyone knows, it’s been a really tough 12 months and although things are starting to look brighter, we’ve taken the difficult decision to move the date of Wolverhampton’s first ever Creation Day Festival so that everyone can enjoy the event safely and to the full,” it reads.
“Music lovers will now be able to enjoy two full days of the best live performances over the weekend of May 28 and 29 2022 in the spectacular surroundings of West Park.”
“We’re planning to include the majority of the artists from our original line-up and there will be a few new surprises too – all guaranteed to offer a memorable weekend in our beautiful park.”
