A live staple of the Arctic Monkeys is previewing their new charity album.
Arctic Monkeys have shared the version of 505 which will feature on their Live At The Royal Albert Hall LP when it’s released in December to raise funds for War Child.
A regular on the Sheffield band’s setlists since it first appeared on their 2007 second studio album Favourite Worst Nightmare, 505 was part of a performance dominated by Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino, the appearance in London taking us right back to the start of that LP’s touring in June 2018.
“All the proceeds from that memorable night were donated to War Child UK in support of the vital work they do protecting, educating and rehabilitating children who have experienced the trauma of conflict and the horror of war,” the band have said.
“The situation that was bad in 2018 is now desperate and those children and their families need our help more than ever. To enable War Child UK to reduce their funding deficit and continue their valuable work, we are happy to be able to release a live album, recorded that evening at The Royal Albert Hall. All proceeds will go direct to the charity.”
