It’s 11 years since Dexys last released an album of original music.
Dexys have set their new album The Feminine Divine for July 28th.
First single I’m Going To Get Free is about, ‘optimistically breaking free from internalised trauma, depression and guilt’, according to Kevin Rowland who is currently settled in this incarnation of the band with Jim Paterson – now a non-touring member – Sean Read and Mike Timothy.
It’s always just natural with me. The inspiration comes first, I think about what I can do, what songs I’ve got, then approach the band.
