Arctic Monkeys are close to completing work on a new album, according to drummer Matt Helders.

Shortly after confirming their first live dates for 2022 via headline gigs in Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia and the Czech Republic, Arctic Monkeys are now leading the line-up for next year’s Rock En Seine festival.

The Sheffield band add to previously confirmed artists such as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Tame Impala, Kraftwerk and Jamie xx, and are new for August 25th-28th, 2022 along with Idles, Fontaines D.C., Beabadoobee and Yungblud among others.

“We are thrilled to have Arctic Monkeys back at the festival for our next edition and a France exclusive,” the event’s Matthieu Ducos remarks.

“After 16 years since their debut album and two unforgettable shows at Rock en Seine in 2011 and 2014, they are established as one of the finest bands around and we can’t wait to bring them to our festival goers.”
