Deer Shed Festival invites Porridge Radio, The Lounge Society, Katy J Pearson, W.H. Lung to Base Camp Plus

Deer Shed Festival

Deer Shed Festival was one of those unable to go ahead due to the UK government’s lack of clarity surrounding cancellation insurance.

Deer Shed Festival might have had to cancel for a second successive year, but with the likes of Porridge Radio, The Lounge Society, Katy J Pearson and W.H. Lung on the line-up for its newly announced Base Camp Plus offshoot, in 2021 organisers will still be delivering the kind of high quality line-up we’ve become used to.

Taking place on the dates which Deer Shed would’ve been held – July 30th-August 1st – the scaled back size of BCP puts it, ‘within tolerable limits in terms of financial risk for us as an independent promoter’, say co-directors Oliver Jones and Kate Webster.

“Base Camp 2020 was loads of fun, and a welcome return to something as close to normality as we could achieve last July,” Jones continues. “Let’s face it though, it was still far from normal.”

“Base Camp Plus offers us the chance to get back to what we love doing, in programming quality entertainment for our audience in Baldersby Park. We’re delighted to have secured three female- fronted music headliners, who have all been formidable in their continued output during the COVID-19 crisis, and a brilliant line-up of some of our favourite comedians.”
