Mogwai announce summer UK show at Kingston Pryzm

Mogwai by Antony Crook – their winter 2020/21 collection is available now.

Mogwai had the top spot on the UK midweeks with their new album As The Love Continues.

Mogwai will play a show at Kingston’s Pryzm venue on July 20th, in association with Banquet Records.

Tickets are going on sale tomorrow as the band remember the 25 years since the release of their debut single.

“Banquet Records asked if we would play for them,” the band say. “It’s been 25 years since we last played Kingston and, as we’re not sure when we can tour, we really want to play live again.”

“With news of the roadmap alongside the excitement of our new album, this seemed like a great time to announce a show!”

Mogwai are riding high on the UK charts after releasing another album full of lush instrumental swirls, on there along with the vocal-led recent single Ritchie Sacramento.

“The lyrics were inspired by a story Bob Nastanovich shared about his friend and bandmate David Berman who proclaimed ‘Rise Crystal Spear’ as he threw a shovel at a sports car,” Stuart Braithwaite has said. “The song is dedicated to all the musician friends we’ve lost over the years.”
