Matthew E. White and Lonnie Holley announce collaborative album

Matthew E. White and Lonnie Holley will release it on April 9th.

Matthew E. White and Lonnie Holley have unveiled their collaborative album Broken Mirror: A Selfie Reflection with its opening track This Here Jungle of Moderness/Composition 14.

With a shared Southern heritage, this otherwise unlikely partnership goes back to White’s studio sessions in the wake of his 2015 album Fresh Blood, a new approach made flesh by seven musicians inside Richmond’s Montrose Recording space which proved unsuitable for his immediate plans, but perfect once Holley later came on board.

“Lonnie channels this music to articulate sensitive and powerful truth that is a formidable commentary on modern society,” White says.
