Documentary on the ‘return’ of The KLF streaming online

The KLF

The KLF are now into MuMufication.

Not that they ever did anything remotely by the book, even for them what could be described as the ‘return’ of The KLF in 2017 was decidedly unconventional.

A pyramid built out of bricks made from dead people? Which could take 200 years to complete? It’s not exactly a reissue of your debut album, but the strange world is being documented on Welcome To The Dark Ages, find it here.

“In 2017 Bill Drummond & Jimmy Cauty, formerly The KLF, returned after 23 years of silence – but they were no longer a pop group,” the YouTube blub reads. “They were now undertakers, planning to build a monument, the People’s Pyramid, out of bricks made from the remains of dead people.”

“The process was dubbed MuMufication (referencing the KLF creation The Justified Ancients of MuMu). They’ve set a deadline of 2023 to find a permanent venue for the 23-foot-high pyramid, which will contain 34,952 bricks and could take over 200 years to complete.”

More planet Earth was the recent release of the duo’s back catalogue to streaming services for the first time.
