Night Beats driving force Danny Lee Blackwell has collaborated again with Robert Levon Been of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Night Beats have put out their new single That’s All You Got on 7”, backed with Never Look Back, after signing to the London-based Fuzz Club.
“Times like these make it seem like the world is tryna keep you down,” Blackwell says. “We’ll always have corrupt politicians and two faced crooks trying to control our minds, but there are two things that are also eternal in this world: Rhythm and Blues.”
“That’s All You Got is a reminder that at the end of the day, we’ll always have the SOUL.”
This track continues a long association between Night Beats and BRMC; the former have supported the latter on numerous occasions, while Levon Been co-produced and played on Night Beats’ 2016 album Who Sold My Generation.
“I was honored to work with Robert, one of the greatest writers I’ve had the pleasure of calling a friend,” Blackwell adds. “Hopefully this song can bring light to the darkness surrounding all of us.”
