Arlo Parks follows the likes of Anna Calvi, Tim Burgess and Wolf Alice.

Although it’ll be coming too early in the year to look anything like it usually does, after the unprecedented trials and tribulations which 2020 has brought, Independent Venue Week and its drive to highlight the importance of grassroots music hubs will be more important than ever as 2021 and hopefully a slow return to these spaces being filled once again gets underway.

Arlo Parks has been confirmed as the ambassador for the events which are due to run between January 25th-31st, with 55 venues from across the UK already signed up to take part.

“I feel blessed to have been chosen as Independent Venue Week Ambassador,” Parks says. “Independent venues are the backbone of live music and I’m determined to help to support and protect these national treasures.”

It’ll start what’s going to be an important year for Arlo Parks too, her debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams due out right in the middle of Independent Venue Week on January 29th.
