The Cribs replace AC/DC at the top of the independent chart.

Night Network from The Cribs is new number on the UK Record Store Chart, leading four more new entries in the Top 5.

Two striking new live albums from Nick Cave and The War On Drugs are immediately behind, with the reissue of Parachutes from Coldplay at #4.

Further back, Bruce Springsteen has jumped a couple of places this week courtesy of Letter To You, while its recent re-release has put the excellent debut album from Chubby & The Gang back in the Top 20.

The Official Charts Company launched the UK Record Store Chart in 2012 to reflect the last decade’s drive to support independent music outlets and the concurrent surge in vinyl sales. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
