Sea Girls have beaten Biffy Clyro to top the UK Record Store Chart with their debut album Open Up Your Head.

A Celebration Of Endings takes second spot, while James Dean Bradfield’s second solo record Even In Exile also scores a high new entry and Fontaines D.C. remain in the Top 5 with A Hero’s Death.

The Official Charts Company launched the UK Record Store Chart in 2012 to reflect the last decade’s drive to support independent music outlets and the concurrent surge in vinyl sales. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
