Mark Oliver Everett has returned to immediately put out a new Eels track called Baby Let’s Make It Real.
“How ‘bout a new song to get your mind off your troubles for 3 minutes and 55 seconds?,” he writes. “Play it again if you want to double that time.”
Recorded at Eels’ studio in Los Feliz, California, the track follows The Deconstruction, which brought a four year wait for an album release from Eels to an end in 2018. “Here are 15 new Eels tracks that may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you,” E said of it.
“The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside.”
