Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album gets 50th anniversary reissue

Black Sabbath

Since the middle part of the last decade, 50th anniversary parties have been coming thick and fast for classic albums, and there’s another coming on October 9th.

Black Sabbath‘s 1970 second studio record Paranoid will be getting a re-release on that date, the 5LP deluxe vinyl box-set crammed with new mixes and live sets.

The hard rock pioneers’ second LP of 1970, Paranoid’s release truly marked the arrival of Black Sabbath as one of Britain’s loudest trailblazers of the seventies, thanks largely to the now-ubiquitous title-track and other stompers such as War Pigs.
