Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs confirm third album Viscerals for release in April

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have confirmed their third album Viscerals will be released on April 3rd.

Pigsx7 have been as unrelenting as their sound when building support through 2014’s Psychopomp and 2018’s King Of Cowards, and have picked Reducer as the new record’s first single. “This is the first taste of our new album Viscerals,” they’ve said.

“It’s called Reducer and it has a very strong flavour. It’s one of the songs that came together quickest during the writing process. It’s immediate and unruly and has that cathartic edge we seek out from the music we make together. It’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun to play live. Let’s rock.”

Meanwhile, we caught the band live at last summer’s Deer Shed Festival, when they proved a more than worthwhile antidote to the withdrawal from that festival by Fontaines D.C.: “Cometh the hour, cometh Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs who, accompanied by another monsoon, rip into a noise wall assembled from their particular corner of Sabbath/Hawkwind/Stoner/Doom metal,” our review reads.

“Singer Matt Batty enters dressed in a cape, making you wonder whether he’s taking this thing a bit too seriously, but the show is headliner theatre from minute one, the band leaving no downtuned chord unbludgeoned in what is a jaw dropping spectacle of raw power.”
