You’re in the right place if you’ve missed any of the week’s top news stories – here Live4ever’s News Round-Up presents a recap of the biggest and best headlines we featured during the last seven days.

A gig will be held at Spike Island in Widnes, Cheshire next year to mark the 30th anniversary of The Stone Roses‘ era-defining concert at the site.

Presumably armed with better sound gear than three decades ago, The Clone Roses are to be joined on the bill by fellow tribute acts Oas-is, The Smiths Ltd, Happy Mondaze, The James Experience and True Order on May 16th 2020 to remember a show which is now widely regarded as the peak of Madchester.

Whilst their debut album Dogrel hogs the top position on 2019’s Album Of The Year lists, Fontaines D.C. have revealed the recording of its follow-up is complete.

Guitarist Carlos O’Connell has told LongLiveVinyl their decision to record in Los Angeles was taken due to the songs’ Beach Boys influence, and that sessions were finished in October.

The National and Massive Attack will headline the Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands when it’s held between June 12th-14th next year.

“We are very excited that these two names stand at the foundation of a beautiful Best Kept Secret 2020,” festival director Maurits Westerik says. “The National played the best show I ever saw of them at Best Kept Secret. Next year they’ll return with a special High Violet show, which feels like homecoming.”

Taylor Swift is the latest headliner to be confirmed for next year’s British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park in London.

Swift will take to the helm on July 11th, adding to the European festivals already confirmed for next year which include Mad Cool and Roskilde. If the rumours prove correct, Glastonbury might well be added to that list in the near future.

Latitude in Suffolk is next up for a line-up announcement and has unveiled Liam Gallagher, HAIM and The Chemical Brothers as headliners for next year.

Held between July 16th-19th 2020, organisers of the event have also booked the likes of Keane, Michael Kiwanuka, Charlie XCX, Marika Hackman and The Futureheads. “Latitude has always been one of our favourite festivals to play, now we are so excited to come back and headline,” HAIM have said in a statement.

Dua Lipa has confirmed her new album will be called Future Nostalgia and released next year.
