Shockwave, the lead track from Liam Gallagher‘s forthcoming second solo album Why Me? Why Not, is back at number one on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart.

It’s on top immediately ahead of tracks from David Bowie and Fat White Family, while black midi return to the Top 10 with their non-album single Talking Heads in the midst of lots of ABBA reissues.

Reflecting the surge in popularity of the traditional format, dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company in 2016 with the singles chart compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
