A 50th anniversary edition of The Rolling Stones‘ Beggars Banquet album will be released on November 16th.
One of the legendary band’s crowning achievements and their last with Brian Jones, Beggars Banquet marked the start of their association with producer Jimmy Miller and the run of classic albums which had also taken in Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile On Main St. by 1972. It was recorded between March-July 1968 at Olympic Sound in London and later mixed at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles.
A new, limited edition vinyl remastered by engineer Bob Ludwig at Abbey Road will be presented in a gatefold jacket along with a 12” of Sympathy For The Devil, backed with an etching of the original ‘toilet’ cover. This package also has a replica of the Japanese bonus flexi-disc containing a 1968 phone interview with Mick Jagger, and a download code for the album and interview.
